Who we are

Mitchell Allen & the Legacy Behind B3X

Mitchell Allen dedicated more than 40 years to teaching, shaping young lives with wisdom, patience, and steady guidance. Outside the classroom, he worked the fields as a farmer, committed to the rhythms of the land and the values of hard work. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, serving as a devoted Sunday School teacher who shared not only Scripture but also practical lessons on living well.

Known as a country philosopher, Mitchell had a gift for simple but profound insights, often delivered with a gentle wit. He was also a lover of poetry, finding beauty in well-chosen words much as he did in the natural world around him.

Mitchell spent countless hours in his shop building, carefully sharpening kitchen knives for family and friends who needed a keen edge to carry them through the daily tasks of simpler times. It was never just about the blade—it was about making life a little easier for those he cared for.

Rarely without his trusted Case Texas Jack knife in his pocket, Mitchell embodied a life of tradition, usefulness, and quiet reflection. His way of living—practical, enduring, and rooted in heritage—became the foundation of the values behind B3X Protectant.

That same spirit continues in the work of his grandson, Jon-or “Johnson”, as Mitchell called him-whose lifelong dedication to knives, collecting, and restoration has carried the family tradition forward. Just like his Grandfather, Jon is rarely seen without his hat, a nod to the heritage he represents. Through years of working with blades, repairing them, and keeping them ready for everyday use, Jon saw the need for a protectant that honored the old ways while meeting modern standards. Out of that dedication, B3X Protectant was born—a simple, reliable solution that reflects both Mitchell’s practicality and Jon’s craftsmanship.

B3X Protectant is more than just a product—it’s a bridge between generations, forged from Mitchell’s wisdom and Jon’s work, built to protect the tools we carry and the stories we pass down.
